Course Delivery
The AMD lectures will be delivered weekly over Zoom from 4:30-6:30pm on a Wednesday, via a combination of pre-recorded and live lectures, with the completion of short weekly assignments on our learning platform. Weekly online activities can be done in your own time during the course of the week.
The course is delivered in two modules:
Module 1 focuses on theory and a deep understanding of mathematics and dyscalculia. At the end of Module 1 you will complete a theoretical assignment based on the content you have been taught and the understanding you have gained.
Module 2 & 3 covers the screening for dyscalculia and mathematics difficulties, as well as intervention and teaching methods. It will focus on different areas of mathematics and explore various remediation strategies for each area. This module includes a practical component of 10 hours intervention under the guidance of a mentor.
