Autism in Women and Girls
This talk is aimed at helping clinicians identify women and girls on the Autism spectrum. Autism in girls and women is often missed, or diagnosis happens when they are older. Women and girls on the spectrum are often misdiagnosed, not receiving the care and treatment to help them understand their difficulties. The delay in diagnosis can have a devasting impact on their sense of self, leaving them misunderstood without the right assistance.
