Thank you for showing an interest in applying for the August 2023 ALD course.

ALD Application Process:

Phase 1:

1. Please use the following link: https://forms.gle/Vt4QdJwkP9siXwRr6 to submit the following documentation, so that your application can be processed:

  1. Application Fee – Proof of Payment.
  2. Certified copy of your Identity Document.
  3. Certified copy of your qualification/s.
  4. Certified copy of your SACE/HPCSA Registration.
  5. A CV/document demonstrating at least two years relevant work experience
  6. A certificate of clearance from the Sexual Offenders Register – SOR (for Module 2 onwards).
  7. A certificate of clearance from the Child Protection Register – CPR (for Module 2 onwards)

Please note that if you are working with children, these clearance certificates are mandatory by law: 

  1. The Sexual Offences Amendment Act of 2007: This legislation makes it mandatory for any person who may come into contact with children (or mentally disabled persons) to be cleared against the register, and failure by the employer to do these checks is punishable by either 7 years in prison, or a fine, or both.
  2. The Children’s Act of 2005 makes provision for a Child Protection Register. Any person who may come into contact with children whilst working as either an employee or as a volunteer must be cleared against this register. Employers must check their staff, and failing to do so is punishable by either 10 years in prison, or a fine, or both.

Whether you are in private practice or working within a school, you are obliged to get these done.

*If you do not have up-to-date certificates of the above, you can contact The Guardian on 031-001-0101 to assist you. If you intend on doing Module 1 only, you do not need to provide these.  

Fee options:
  1. You can choose to pay the full course fee upfront: R41,500
  2. Enrol for the full course with a deposit of R9,100, to secure your space and a debit order thereafter of R1880 for 12 months. (Total: R43,380)
  3. Enrol per module with the flexibility of choosing an exit point after Module 1 or 2, and pay for each module upfront. Payment for Module 1 secures your space. R15000. (Total: R43,380)
Phase 2:
  1. You will receive confirmation of acceptance onto the course.
  2. You will receive an enrolment contract, payment option letter and invoice from our finance department, which needs to be signed and returned.  Please note that we require a bank confirmation letter if you are paying by the debit order option.
  3. Pay the discounted full fee, course deposit or Module 1 fee before the deadline and send the POP to: [email protected]

Phase 2:
