Dyscalculia is a specific learning difficulty that falls under the umbrella of neurodevelopmental disorders. This talk explores the concept of dyscalculia, the causes, what it is, and what to look out for in the classroom.
The presenters will also explore maths anxiety, how to identify it and how to overcome it so that learners can access learning successfully. Finally, the presenters aim to dispel dyscalculia myths. General classroom teaching tips for teaching mathematics to children with dyscalculia and severe maths difficulties will also be shared.
