•The cognitive, emotional and social profile of learners with ASD will be discussed

•Explore how girls and boys on the spectrum present differently to one another and how schools, health professionals, and parents are able to collaboratively support ASD learners

Learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) have a different, not defective, way of thinking. This workshop will introduce the diagnostic criteria and levels classification of ASD, as well as the cognitive, emotional and social profile of learners with ASD. We will explore how girls and boys on the autism spectrum present differently to one another. Time will be spent discussing cases and sharing how schools, health professionals, and parents are able to collaboratively support learners on the autism spectrum.
