Masterclass Series | Session 1: Using the WISC-V report to inform intervention
The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V UK) is frequently used to assess children’s cognitive potential. However, it can be difficult to understand how the subtests on this assessment inform academic performance. This workshop, delivered by experienced and skilled health professionals and remedial therapists, aims to share with educators and professionals an interpretation of what each subtest measures and how this relates to the classroom. In addition, attendees will leave with practical strategies to apply in the remediation of identified areas of weakness.

Masterclass Series | Session 2: Making Thinking Visible in the Classroom
This workshop introduces a toolbox of thinking routines designed to be used in both the classroom and therapy settings. These routines aim to make students’ thinking explicit, emphasising the concept of deep learning. Visible thinking focuses on integrating the development process of thinking with content learning across various subjects, fostering personal cognitive strategies and reflective learning experiences. Time will be spent exploring and practicing the thinking routines to enhance the learning experience. The workshop is suitable for educators and therapists across all school phases.
