1. Regulate to Educate: is a fundamental principle in fostering a structured and effective sensory learning classroom and school environment. We are all sensory beings and as such benefit from sensory-motor activities to support our level of alertness. By understanding what activities work to calm or alert children, educators and therapists can promote an optimal learning space where children can be more available to participate, learn and master skills.
2. The Report Writing Process: This workshop will take participants through the report writing process in a school setting, beginning from the moment a student enters your classroom. Aimed at both educators and support specialists, the session will provide practical insights and opportunities for discussion. Effective strategies for marking and assessment will be explored, with a focus on crafting insightful, professional report comments that offer constructive feedback while maintaining a personal touch.
3. How, when and where to refer a child: The focus of this workshop will be how, when and where to refer a child who may be presenting with learning difficulties. Discussion will be on which therapy would be most suited for presenting difficulties. Accommodations for such learners will be also explored through case studies and discussions. The workshop is aimed at educators, health professionals and parents who may be wondering which route of support is best suited to the child’s needs.

You are welcome to send your questions prior to the workshop for the presenters to consider.
