COVID 19 has thrust us all into a state of flux and uncertainty. For some it has introduced untold trauma and loss; while for many it has introduced an underlying rumbling of anxiety, distress and disequilibrium.
As our children return to school we can not expect to pick up from where we left, we cannot underestimate the impact of the pandemic on our children’s emotional wellbeing.
When the children return to school, we need to be informed by a Recovery Curriculum. This will help schools, teachers and therapists prepare and adjust to facilitate effective teaching with compassion.
