Self-Regulation focuses on the motivation to use learning strategies actively and the awareness of the use of these strategies. It also involves learners’ mindfulness of their thinking and learning while they are occurring. Self-Regulation is about learners taking charge of their own learning. To reflect on thoughts and actions as they occur to energise, sustain and direct behaviour toward successful learning and doing.
