Growth Mindset – Personalised Learning – Individual Strategies – Collaboration

How do we raise children and teenagers to become ethical and responsible citizens; leaders in their fields; critical thinkers; resilient change makers; problem solvers; and happy, independent adults?
We believe in the learning propensity of every human being. iThemba is a vehicle of the organisation that is determined to bring best practice for the mediation of cognitive functions to individuals of all ages that may not be associated with or registered at Bellavista. Fuelled by the results achieved with children in full time placement in our schools, iThemba is committed to support each individual to develop a realistic and optimistic sense of self.
We strive to raise ethical citizens who are competent to navigate and precipitate change in a complex world. Together with a mediator guiding the experience, and a growth mindset, participants in the personal development training offered at iThemba are change makers that go on to mediate hope to others.
Collaboration, creativity, communication and critical thinking are required skills in today’s world. With exposure and reinforcement, various metacognitive strategies embedded in each individual will secure these valuable attributes. When integrated, the various cognitive functions addressed in the iThemba programme will see participants approach problems they face systematically and champion meaningful, sustainable change within themselves and in the organisations they engage with. A benefit of coaching using highly effective methods is the development of grit and stamina. Individuals actively shape their own lives and society around them with their transformative mindset.
The programme is not therapy. The tools used offer every individual an opportunity to develop their cognition to its full potential. Children from age five, adults with memory loss, parents, scholars striving to better their results and high performing professionals sharpening their skills set will benefit.
