Growth Mindset – Personalised Learning – Individual Strategies – Collaboration
How do we raise children and teenagers to become ethical and responsible citizens; leaders in their fields; critical thinkers; resilient change makers; problem solvers; and happy, independent adults?
Bellavista iThemba, a South African Centre for Cognitive Education, is borne out of the experience and methodology used by Bellavista School, a hope-filled-school. This leading centre is established to offer the best of cognitive education practice and the principles of neuroplasticity to clients beyond the school.
With a foundational premise that every human being has a propensity for learning, our approach integrates the theories of Structural Cognitive Modifiability and Mediated Learning Experience with the programmes of Cognitive Enrichment Advantage (CEA) and Feuerstein’s Instrumental Enrichment (FIE).
Bellavista iThemba’s services develop a language of thinking, build cognitive functions and establish personalised strategies in each individual. These skills and abilities are bridged into the areas of academics, social and emotional skills.
Bellavista iThemba recognises that to be human is to hold learning propensity. There are methods and approaches that can develop and enhance abilities in focus and attention; learning processes; literacy; social interaction; reasoning; organisational competency; executive function; leadership; goal setting; feelings of competence; and many more.
The centre believes that humans are rooted in communities and all stakeholders benefit from not only developing individual skills but also equipping themselves with insight to support others.
Bellavista iThemba offers various services that are suitable for children, teenagers and adults who seek to improve their cognition and affective skills for learning and living. Neurodiversity is fully accommodated!
