Feuerstein’s Instrumental Enrichment Basic (FIE Basic) is a cognitive enrichment program that creates systematic and structured conditions to engage young children in problem-solving and metacognition. This talk will explore:
•The concept of being a “good enough” parent, as opposed to a “perfect” parent, comes from the psychoanalyst Donald Winnicott. He argued that it’s not necessary for parents to be flawless in order to raise healthy and well-adjusted children. Instead, what’s important is providing children with enough love, support, and guidance to thrive
•Give parents tools for how to go back to basics with routine and connection
•Being a “good enough” parent means being present for your children, meeting their basic needs, setting reasonable boundaries, and offering them love and support. It acknowledges that parents are human and will inevitably make mistakes, but that these imperfections are a normal part of the parenting journey -
