This workshop will explore:

•Current research and understanding of mathematic difficulties, including dyscalculia, and examines the building blocks and implications of mathematics learning

•A variety of concrete resources that can be used to introduce each mathematical concept in a fully multi-sensory, interactive mode

•Investigate mathematical screening tools that inform the writing of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Time will be spent understanding mathematics anxiety and exploring our own mathematical mindset

The workshop is appropriate for educators, remedial therapists and facilitators working with foundation phase learners, as well as with older pupils experiencing severe difficulty with numbers.
