Central Auditory Processing Difficulties (CAPD) is a difficulty experienced by many children and adults that makes learning and coping within aspects of daily living difficult.

This talk will consider the definition of CAPD, look at how we process information, how to identify CAPD difficulties, aspects of assessing CAPD, how CAPD is treated, classroom modification and the role of the CAPD team.

About the Presenter: Venisha Naran Jagjewan

Venisha Naran Jagjewan is a Speech Therapist and Audiologist working for Bellavista school and S.E.E.K. She is also in private practice with experience in assessment, therapy and literacy support to children identified as having dyslexia.

Her passion lies with the assessment and treatment of CAPD and dyslexia. She is also a tutor and lecturer for the Award in Literacy and Dyslexia at Bellavista S.H.A.R.E. and a RAVE-O trainer.
