Compassion Fatigue
As professionals who are trained to care for others, we often overlook the need for personal self-care. This workshop will focus on building awareness of Compassion Fatigue among educators and health professionals as well as the ethical responsibility of professionals to make self-care a priority in order to sustain their work. Symptoms to look out for will be highlighted and a discussion of practical changes to implement to prevent compassion fatigue and build resilience will be discussed.
